Ethical Maker and Designer participants will have the opportunity to present their products in a boutique setting in New York City's Lower East Side shopping district during a high-profile festival that will draw in a targeted community of conscientious consumers who value your ethically and artistically made products.

  • Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis from June 26 to September 4, 2019.
  • Exhibition theme

    The theme for the 2019 festival is Dignity: Care for Each Other and Our Planet.

    We invite Makers, Designers and ethical retailers to apply for participation in the Activism Market if your products address social justice issues related to bias, inequality, immigration, forced separation, mental and physical health, personal loss or suffering, environmental degradation and sustainability.

  • 6 x 6 square feet: $1,650 per week

  • Measurements are estimates of the space. Precise booth space dimensions will be confirmed upon acceptance into the festival.*†
  • Booths may be combined for an additional fee. Please contact festival organizers with inquiries at
  • Participants may elect to exhibit for all four weeks or on a weekly basis from September 25 to October 20, 2019. Please see application form for dates.
  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We do not guarantee acceptance or exhibition dates.
  • Exhibitors are responsible for delivery and installation of products on the Monday and Tuesday prior to their accepted exhibition week.
  • Exhibitors are required to bring their own display equipment, booth furniture, labels, signage and point-of-sale device.
  • Festival organizers have the right to decline display of products or signage in their sole discretion.
  • A representative of your business must be on-site during public hours from 11am to 7pm of their exhibition week.
  • Exhibitors are responsible for packing and load out of any unsold products on the Sunday of their designated exhibitor week between 6-10pm.
  • EPlease note there is an additional $100 collaborative marketing fee for all participating makers and designers.
